Plywood Cowboy is an independent buying-guide site for garage workbenches. We help you compare benches and pick one that fits your garage, your projects and your budget.
We write for homeowners and DIYers who are setting up or upgrading a work area. You don't need a shop teacher's vocabulary, because we explain terms like rated load, bench dogs and adjustable height in plain words.
What we cover
Our guides cover folding work tables, wall-mounted fold-down benches, rolling benches and adjustable height benches. We also cover the parts and add-ons that go with a bench, like wood tops, legs and frames, stools, mats and vises.
Many guides compare two models or two bench types side by side, so you can see the trade-offs before you buy.
What we do
We read the product details, specs and maker information for every bench we cover. We also look at what buyers often say after using one.
